Papers, 1980-2005, undated

Arrangement: subject, then alphabetical for subject files and chronological for project files. The date arrangement reflects the original filing practices of the creator (Bob Jones) and has been retained as much as possible to preserve the context of the materials.

This series comprises papers from the office of Bob Jones at Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government. Original file titles have been largely retained when available.

The series is divided into five subseries: General Files, Subject Files, Terrebonne Parish Barrier Island and Wetland Restoration Project Files, Organization Files, and Personal Papers. The General Files subseries includes materials related to the general activities of Jones in the Engineering Department of the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government. The Subject Files subseries includes office files kept by Jones on specific topics, and the Terrebonne Parish Barrier Island and Wetland Restoration Project Files contains files specific to different restoration projects undertaken by Terrebonne Parish during Jones’ career. The Organizational Files subseries includes files relating to other organizations Jones worked with during the course of his work with the Terrebonne Parish including the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana, the Barataria-Terrebonne Nation Estuary Program (BTNEP), the National Wetlands Coalition, the State of Louisiana, the American Shore and Beach Preservation Society, the Coastal Society, and Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON). The Personal Papers subseries contains materials relating to his personal life and previous employment.
