Scope and Contents

This collection spans 6 linear feet and includes material dating from 1896 to 1969. The materials are comprised of the papers of Stella Woods Queen of Thibodaux, Louisiana, and include personal papers, photographs, printed materials, and phonograph records relating to Queen's family and religious life. The collection is divided into four series: Papers, Photographs, Printed Materials, and Phonograph Records.

The Papers series includes correspondence, records, and ephemera relating to her family and religious life. The Photographs series primarily consists of portraits and snapshots of family members, predominantly of the Woods, Queen, Marts, and Lewis families. Printed Materials includes textbooks (inscribed with the names of various family members) as well as religious publications. Phonograph Recordings include gospel music and sermons.
