Includes a copy of a letter from Dr. Philip D. Uzee, a Nicholls State University Professor of History, November 6, 1967 to Dr. F. Jay Taylor, President, Louisiana Polytechnic Institue, Ruston Louisiana, making recommendations for inclusion of our public education pioneers of South Louisiana in the memorial library of a new State Department of Education building; also attached statements in support of each nomination. Nominees: Parish Superintendents of the past, Samuel A. Allemand, Assumption; Larry J. Babin, Ascension; Henry Louis Bourgeois, Terrebonne; W.S. Lafargue, Lafourche.
