Materials include record books, clippings, correspondence, photographs, notes, programs, information sheets, an organizational constitution, meeting materials, ephemera, and publicity materials.

Historical Note
Home demonstration clubs were established in the 1950s in Thibodaux, St. Charles, Cutoff, Lockport, and other Lafourche Parish communities. These organizations provided educational programs and activities relating to home economics, and were sponsored by the Extension Service of the United States Department of Agriculture. In 1973, the Lafourche Parish organizations changed their names from Home Demonstration Clubs to Homemakers Clubs. In addition to these clubs, a Lafourche Parish Extension Homemakers Council comprised members from throughout the parish.
