David Plater Papers
Scope and Contents
This collections dates from 1888 to 1977 and spans three linear feet. The bulk of the materials date from 1974 to 1976 and concern activities relating to the observance of the American Revolution Bicentennial in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. These include correspondence, notes, newsletters, flyers, instructional documents, forms, and other documents. Additional materials include documents relating to later historical preservation activities and a collection of newspaper clippings.
