This collection spans 0.83 linear feet and includes copies of the annual session minutes of two churh associations, the Eastern Louisian Baptist Assocation, later referred to as the Eastern Louisiana Association, and the Ascension Parish Baptist Association.
Indexes are available as both external documents and within the first folders of each series.
Box 1: consists of the Eastern Louisiana Baptist Association, with twenty-four folders ranging from... 1893 to 1922.
Box 2: covers the Ascension Parish Baptist Association. It contains thirty-nine folders ranging from 1923 to 1966.
The following dates are not present in the collection: 1897, 1899-1902, 1905-1906,1931-1933,1934,1940, and 1949.
All folders within the collection are arranged chronologically by each annual session.

Historical Note
The Louisiana Baptist Church Association is a religious organization comprised of over 1,600 Baptist Churches located across Louisiana. Each Baptist Church ministers independently and cooperatively to achieve a shared religious mission. This mission extends beyond Louisiana to the additonal 40,000 Southern Baptist Churches located across the United States. Each Baptist Church's religous mission incorporates three core goals, to aid others, instill... hope, and share their vocational teachings with others both locally and abroad.
The Ascension Parish Baptist Assocation was once part of the Eastern Louisiana Baptist Asociation. In 1923 the following churches: Oak Gorve, Gonzales, New River, Broussard Grove, and Mt. Zion of Ascension Parish and Jones Creek Church located in East Baton Rouge Parish elected to form a new association which was granted upon letters of dismission to create the Ascension Parish Baptist Association.
