Thibodaux Music Club Records
Scope and Contents
This collection contains achievement record books (scrapbooks) that contain booklets, certificates, photographs, newspaper clippings, correspondence, and pamphlets on club business. It also contains minute books of club meetings, bulletins/directories for the National Federation of Music Clubs, and yearbooks.

Physical rights are retained by Nicholls State University. Copyright is retained in accordance with U.S. copyright laws.
Historical Note
The Thibodaux Music Club was organized and federated in 1961 after Mrs. Churchill from Donaldsonville, an officer in the National Federation of Music Clubs, prompted Sarah Marshall to poll people in Thibodaux for their interest in forming a music club. The Thibodaux club began with fewer than five people with the stated objective: "Dedicated to bringing the spiritualizing force of music to the inner life of our nation by bringing it every chance we can to the people of Thibodaux.".
