Biographical Note

During the 1880s, Joseph and Charles moved from Assumption Parish to Iberville Parish and worked as clerks in a store. They returned to Assumption Parish a few years later where they operated Barthet Bros. Photography in Labadieville. Joseph also served as Postmaster General at Raphael, La. in Iberville Parish and election commissioner in Labadieville's fifth ward of the first precinct.
