Josephine M. Bouterie Collection
This collection comprises a booklet and postcards collected by Josephine Bouterie of Thibodaux, Louisiana. The booklet, titled "The Symptoms and Cure of Yellow Fever" details the successful treatment of yellow fever prescribed by Dr. Cherot of Thibodaux. The postcards are written to Josephine Bouterie by family and friends and date from 1906 to 1913. The images on the cards include scenes of Texas and Louisiana locations, holiday greetings, and other illustrations.
Hector J. Chiasson Collection
This collection consists of black and white photographs of Hector J. Chiasson's days as a lumberman, a plaque commemorating his life, and photocopies of correspondence, tax notices, baptismal certificates, invoices, receipts, and death notices belonging to Chiasson during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
Historic Thibodaux Collection
Contains a wide variety of manuscripts, photographs, and printed matter concerning the city of Thibodaux, its people and its history. Includes biographical sketches of prominent citizens; photographs and histories of important architecture such as churches, schools, and businesses; as well as articles and pamphlets detailing various religious and social organizations and their activities. There are also general facts and figures about the city itself and its importance to the state.
