Biographical / Historical
Claiborne Talbot was born in Napoleonville, Louisiana. He graduated from Napoleonville High School in 1911 and attended Soule Business School in New Orleans. During World War I, he served in the Quartermaster Corps of the United States Army in Nantes, France (1917-1919). He also worked in New Orleans as a bookkeeper for an insurance company and for the Army Corps of Engineers.
