Biographical / Historical
Edmond Deramee, Sr. (1902-1987) was born in Cut Off, Louisiana. He attended St. Stanislaus College and earned a law degree from Loyola University in New Orleans. In addition to practicing law, he served as a member of the Louisiana State Senate. He was member of a group of early advocates for the creation of Francis T. Nicholls Junior College (later Nicholls State University).
