Scope and Contents The collection dates from 1816 to 2002 and spans three linear feet. It includes maps, copies of diaries, ephemera, printed materials, photographs, artifacts, and audiovisual material relating to the history and culture of Terrebonne Parish. The collection is divided into seven series: People, families, and personal Items; Historic sites; Schools; Events; Religious organizations; Businesses; and Terrebonne Parish general papers.

R. M. Ramp Collection on Sugarcane Harvesting and Production

Scope and Contents The collection contains yearly research reports and photographs on sugarcane harvesting and production machinery that date from 1944-1963. Research was done in Houma, Louisiana by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in cooperation with the American Sugarcane League. The collection was donated by the Agricultural Engineer and Project Leader Russell Martin Ramp.
