Scope and Contents This collection of microfilm includes copies of Lafourche Parish tax assessment rolls and survey plats for various sections of the state of Louisiana. The assessment rolls include the name, address, and race of taxpayers in Lafourche Parish; description, size, and value of their property; amount of homestead exemption; and state, parish, and special local taxes assessed. This is an artificial collection created by Ellender Memorial Library from maps donated over a period of decades. It spans 5 linear feet and comprises maps of various locations within Louisiana dating from approximately 1806 to 1995.

This collection dates from approximately 1831 to 1967 and spans 183 linear feet. It comprises survey maps, field books, abstracts of title, and correspondence relating to land surveying, predominantly in South Louisiana.
