This collection consists of the personal war reminiscences of Maurice Braud, Jr. (2 copies), one newspaper produced by Allied prisoners of war during World War II, and one magazine describing the Allied liberation of Europe.

The collection relates predominantly to political campaigns in Lafourche Parish and Louisiana dating from 1948 to 1975, along with some personal materials. Campaign materials are comprised primarily of promotional campaign cards, along with postcards, political cartoons, booklets, sample ballots, and memorabilia.

The records pertain predominantly to the cultivation and harvesting of sugar cane on Georgia Plantation, as well as associated topics such as labor, wartime agricultural production, and the Blanchard family of Assumption Parish.

It includes maps, copies of diaries, ephemera, printed materials, photographs, artifacts, and audiovisual material relating to the history and culture of Terrebonne Parish. The collection is divided into seven series: People, families, and personal Items; Historic sites; Schools; Events; Religious organizations; Businesses; and Terrebonne Parish general papers.

Scope and Contents This collection comprises 13 photographic negative strips. The photographs appear to date from the mid-20th century and earlier, and include primarily portraits of individuals (photographs of photographs), along with images of machinery, buildings, construction, groups of people, and agricultural scenes. Most images are unidentified, with the exception of two images showing Abraham Martin and Alcide Foret on horseback, and one of a group of people gathered at the Raceland/Matthews World War...
