South Louisiana Oral History Collection
This is an artificial collection created by Ellender Memorial Library from oral histories donated over a period of decades. It comprises oral histories (on audiotape and videotape) and related materials collected from residents of South Louisiana between approximately 1972 and 1998. Interviewees discuss topics relating to local history and culture, including foodways, traditional crafts, race, religion, illness and medicine, education, labor, and industry.
Sugar Industry Collection
This collection comprises printed, microfilmed, and audiovisual materials relating to the sugar industry, predominantly that of Louisiana. The materials date from 1848 to 1985.
United States Army Corps of Engineers Aerial Photographs and Index Maps
This collection dates from 1962 to 1964 and spans 1.5 linear feet. The materials comprise 968 aerial photographs taken by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and accompanying index documents. The photographs show the geographical region surrounding Nicholls State University.

Veterans of Southeast Louisiana Collection
This collection consists of interviews with veterans residing in the following parishes of Louisiana: Assumption, Jefferson Davis, Lafourche, Orleans, St. Martin, and Terrebonne. Each interview showcases the life and military experience of the veteran and is stored in digital video format. The collection includes photographs, monographs, military awards and memorabilia, as well as telegrams, correspondence, and newspaper clippings.
